In the wake of the terrorist attacks on Paris, CBS will replace originally scheduled episodes of "Supergirl" and "NCIS: Los Angeles" whose stories paralleled the attacks too closely. The network will still air new episodes.

"Supergirl" was scheduled to air the episode, "How Does She Do It?," which saw Kara dealing with bombings in the fictional National City. CBS will instead air a Thanksgiving-themed episode that includes Helen Slater guest starring as Kara's foster mother, Dr. Eliza Danvers and Brit Morgan as DC villain Livewire.

The "NCIS: LA" episode, "Defectors," involved ISIS recruitment of young women, the real-life terror organization that has claimed responsibilities for the Paris attacks that left 129 people dead. The episode, "The Long Goodbye," scheduled to air in December and centering on Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) will run instead.

On Friday evening as news broke of the attacks, most of the networks kept to their regular scheduled programming except NBC, which canceled its live episode of "Undateable."

"Supergirl" airs at 8 p.m. and "NCIS: Los Angeles" airs at 10 p.m. on Mondays on CBS.
