Meri Brown opens up about her experience with an Internet catfish on the upcoming episode of TLC's "Sister Wives." Brown explains how she was tricked into an online relationship with a woman who pretended to be a man during a particularly vulnerable time in Brown's life.

Brown divorced her husband Kody Brown, the patriarch of the polygamous family who stars in the TLC reality series "Sister Wives," as previously reported by HNGN. The divorce was finalized earlier this year so that Kody could marry his fourth wife Robyn and legally adopt her three children from a previous marriage.

But even though she selflessly went through with her divorce from Kody, Brown explains that she felt emotionally vulnerable after the split and sought comfort in a stranger who she met online.

"I got into this place where I was talking to different people on social media, you know, and kind of making friends," she said in the sneak peak. "And I got into this situation talking to one person who really made me trust him. He was just saying all the right things."

"Being very kind and very compassionate and understanding and I trusted him. We kind of just started talking online," she continued, then paused to hold back tears. "And I laughed."
