Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger reportedly has no chance of playing against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday, according to Gerry Dulac of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Roethlisberger was originally expected to miss a few weeks, but after practicing on Thursday, reports came out that he could play this weekend. Quarterback Mike Vick has stated that Landry Jones will be the starter and that he will be the backup. "Yeah, absolutely, definitely," said Vick if that's how it would play out, via Penn Live.

Roethlisberger suffered a mid-foot sprain after being sacked by Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith. The Steelers franchise quarterback was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday, and it seemed optimistic that he would play as reports surfaced that he was ahead of schedule.

"My goal is always to try to get better as fast as possible," said Roethlisberger prior to Thursday's practice, via The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "If I'm feeling good enough and coach determines I'm good enough to be out there on Sunday, then that's the goal." While Roethlisberger is likely pushing to play this weekend, he will probably need at least another week to recover from the injury.

The Steelers are 5-4 on the season and are battling for a postseason spot. Jones will look to lead Pittsburgh to a victory on Sunday and has thrown for 456 yards and three touchdowns to two interceptions this season. The Steelers have had their share of injuries this season, but they hope that Jones can lead them to a victory while Roethlisberger is trying to get healthy.
