Lindsay Lohan shared a picture Thursday of herself dolled up as Charles Manson's murder victim Sharon Tate via Instagram on the killer's 81st birthday.

"I LOVE SHARON TATE #CANCERmeetsAQUARIUS #themelook #hippieWINTERCHIC," Lohan captioned the photo, wearing a black crop top, shorts and thigh-high boots, according to People.

Tate, who was eight-and-a-half months pregnant, was brutally murdered on Aug. 9, 1969 at her Beverly Hills home by members of Manson's cult known as the Manson Family.

The 26-year-old actress died a horrific death after she was stabbed 16 times, and her murderers left the word "Pig" in writing on the walls in her blood, The Huffington Post reported.

Manson was found guilty on Jan. 25, 1971 of charges including seven counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. He was given the death sentence, but the Supreme Court of California's decision to overturn all death penalties before 1972 prevented him from facing death row.

Manson is currently serving nine concurrent life sentences at the Corcoran State Prison in California and was denied parole for the 12th time two years ago.

However, it is not yet clear if the 29-year-old "Mean Girls" actress knew if it was Manson's birthday on Nov. 12, but she faced some backlash on the photo-sharing app from some of her 4 million followers over the post.

"How tacky...Sharon Tate was brutally murdered," read a comment by one person, while another user wrote, "Sharon Tate died a tragic death. Is there ANYTHING you won't do for attention?" according to Gossip Cop.
