At the recent Funkshion Fashion Week in Miami, models sashayed the runway dressed in unusual garb - high fashion clothes made from McDonald's burger wrappers, coffee cups, French fry boxes and other fast food items. Dubbed McDCouture," 20 designers from the Miami International University of Art presented their interpretation on fashion inspired by one of America's popular fast food companies.

"The aspiring designers utilized more than 4,600 McDonald's sandwich wrappers, 1,770 fry boxes, 1,100 straws, 600 to-go bags, 500 sandwich boxes, 200 soft drink cups, 500 ketchup holders, and 100 McFlurry cups according to a McDonald's press release.

The clothes included skirts, crop tops, dresses, ponchos, handbags, evening gowns and wedding gowns. However, the pieces will not be available for purchase any time soon. Instead, they will be put on display at the university in Miami, according to She Knows.

This is not the first fashion take on McDonald's though as Moschino and designer Jeremy Scott already did their McDonald's-inspired runway show back in 2014, as per New York Magazine. The ready-to-wear collection did go on sale at Moschino stores.
