Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford said that he never saw a contract extension offer before the season, according to NFL reporter Connor Orr.

Bradford was reportedly offered a four-year contract extension for $18 million a year, according to Ray Boyd of CBS Philadelphia. "That offer must have gotten lost in the mail," said Bradford, via CSN Philadelphia. "I never saw that one."

Bradford has struggled for the Eagles this season, throwing 10 interceptions to nine touchdowns. The major concern with Bradford coming into this season was his health, as he had torn his ACL in back-to-back seasons before arriving in Philadelphia. He has only completed a full 16-game season twice in his NFL career.

The former Heisman winner was projected to be a star in the league and was the first pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. The Eagles are 3-4 in the season and head into a huge game against the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night. The Eagles offense has struggled this season and currently sits at 12th in the league for yards per game. Last year, the Eagles finished the season fifth in terms of yards per game, and while the Eagles had many changes this offseason, Bradford was clearly the biggest.

Bradford is in the final year of his contract and will be an unrestricted free agent next season. It's unclear what the Eagles future plans are with Bradford, but that will likely depend on how he performs in the second half of the season. The Eagles could have dodged a bullet by not signing Bradford long term, but if he picks up his play and leads Philadelphia to the post season, he could be asking for more money after the season.
