Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo practiced Wednesday and was seen throwing passes with his shoulder pads on, according to NFL reporter Desmond Purnell.

It has been stated for some time now that Romo is expected to return on Nov. 22 against the Miami Dolphins, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reiterated that this week. "I know of no reason why he won't be playing at that time," said Jones, via CBS Sports. Romo went down in week two with a fractured left clavicle, and since his injury, the team has lost five straight.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said that the team is staying with quarterback Matt Cassel this week. "He's done some good things for us the last couple of weeks even though he hasn't won the ballgames," said Garrett, via Dallas Cowboys. In Cassel's two starts this season, he has thrown for a combined 324 yards with one touchdown to three interceptions. The Cowboys lost this past weekend by one point, and Dallas fans are likely eager for Romo's return.

The Cowboys currently have the 24th passing offense in the league and are passing under 220 yards a game. Romo returned to individual drills at practice Wednesday, and that looks to be a good sign for the future. The Cowboys have a huge game against the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend and need a win to keep pace in the NFC East. The Cowboys have yet to earn a win without Romo this season, and if they want to contend for the playoffs, they will likely need to get one in the next two weeks. The good news for Cowboys fans is that Romo is back at practice, but if Dallas doesn't win either of their next two games, they will be 2-7 when he returns.

Garrett will look to have Cassel ready this weekend, and with Dez Bryant back in the lineup for the second consecutive week, Dallas' chances clearly improve. It will be interesting to watch how the Cowboys handle Romo's return, as they likely know their playoff hopes rest on his shoulders.
