Nick Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess really wowed the judges on "Dancing With The Stars" last night with their contemporary dance to "Can't Help Falling In Love," which Carter dedicated to his wife Lauren Kitt. The performance was so good it received the only perfect score of the night, and as if this wasn't exciting enough, the former Backstreet Boy and Kitt, who recently found out they were having a baby, decided to do the gender reveal on live TV.

"Thank you @nickcarter for being an amazing partner and human being," Burgess captioned a photo from their performance. "And thank you @paulkirckland01 for creating this amazing moment with me for nick and @laurenkittcarter that is now frozen in time! So beautiful, our first perfect score! #ilovelove."

Following the dance, and the emotional feedback that came with it, Carter and Burgess were joined by Kitt for their usual post-dance interview with co-host Erin Andrews. After Andrews praised the partners for their graceful dance, Carter, 35, and Kitt, 32, stood in front of an oversized silver box covered in glitter with a giant purple bow on top as they anxiously waited for the moment when they were allowed to open it.

When that moment finally came, the two opened the box to reveal dozens of blue balloons that were released into the air. "It's a backstreet boy!" Andrews exclaimed as the happy couple hugged, kissed and cried tears of joy. Kitt had been struggling to get pregnant for more than a year.

"I wanted to make it the best it can be for my wife, my future child, for Sharna, just to make it something that we could always remember because it was so important and it was so special," Carter told E! News following his performance. "It was surreal to get the 10s - finally a perfect score! I was blown away...I'm so happy that this was the night that it happened."

"Words cannot express how enamored and proud I am of my husband and father of our future son," Kitt captioned an adorable photo of the two. "Last night being chosen as his 'Icon and Hero' is beyond anything I would have imagined. I always think I know the parameters of his love and he continues to show me that it is indeed endless. I know that love will spread to our son and he will have the great honor of calling Nick his dad. Thank you my love for all that you do and all that you are and everything you are yet to be."

As for why Carter decided to make such a big reveal for the world to see, he just couldn't imagine a more meaningful way to do so at this point in his life. "I wanted it to be something that was so special. I wanted it to be perfect," he told People after the show. "I wanted that because I think that one day my baby boy might come back and watch it and say, 'Wow. Dad really loved Mom that much.' The fact that we got those scores and it was a dedication to his mom...all these things together made it a special night. I feel like Lauren has made me a better man. And when you feel that way about someone, you want to stand on the mountaintop and scream it out."
