Long before Bryan Cranston ever starred on "Breaking Bad" as Walter White, and before Jimmy Fallon hosted "The Tonight Show," the pair apparently filmed three episodes of a '90's "soap opera" called "Suspended Suspense."

The concept of the fake soap was that the actors were suspended midair throughout their entire performance.

"The director was a neat freak," Cranston said. "He didn't want any shoes to go scuffing up the floor."

Fallon explained that he was in the basement of 30 Rockefeller Center looking through old things when he came across three tapes of the show "Suspended Suspense," and previews all three for the audience.

The creative choice forced the two actors to perform the drama - all while dangling several feet off the ground.

The two remained professional throughout the ridiculous sketch that included elements of drama, illness and their father's death.

"I don't know if that really works," Fallon said after airing a clip from the pretend show.

"In retrospect, we really should have been standing," Cranston added.
