In her downtime between releasing last year's platinum-certified "My Everything," touring the world, flexing her acting muscle on Ryan Murphy's "Scream Queens" and stirring up controversy by licking a donut, Ariana Grande found time to write yet another album. Now, after weeks of teasing on social media, the pint-sized pop starlet finally released the first single and music video for "Focus" and gave fans a taste of what to expect from her upcoming album "Moonlight," Time reported.

"Surprise !!!! it's here!!!! My new single #Focus is now available on @iTunes / @AppleMusic," Grande tweeted to her fans just one hour earlier than its expected release.

The music video features Grande donning a white wig that takes on the hue of whatever lighting happens to hit her at any given moment. She paired the long locks with her signature cat eyeliner and wore variations of the same outfit: a short skirt with a dangerously high thigh-split and a fitted crop top. She showed off her dance moves, which include holding up iPhones to take a selfie. Her hair took on a lavender hue in one shot, while it appeared to be an icy shade of blue in another.

"Focus" sounds similar to Grande's previous hit "Problem" which featured Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, complete with a saxophone and a similar vocal delivery on Grande's part. The track was produced by Max Martin and was co-written by Grande and Savan Kotecha, according to a Republic Records press release. "Moonlight," Grande's third studio album, is set for a 2016 release.

To celebrate the release of her new single, Grande will perform tonight at the Ariana Grande World Premiere Event on the Honda Stage at the iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles. The event will stream live at 10 p.m. EDT on iHeartRadio's website.
