Sorry, "Game of Thrones" fans, but the wait for season six may be just a bit longer than you think. Keep churning out those Jon Snow theories in the meantime.

Earlier today, HBO announced a February premiere date for Martin Scorsese's music industry period drama "Vinyl" as well as the return of comedies "Togetherness" and "Girls" on Sunday, Feb. 14. This may push "Thrones," which usually premieres in late March or early April (last season debuted on April 6), back a few weeks.

As of now, HBO has not announced a premiere date for "Game of Thrones." However, since winter programs normally have 10 episodes each, the network will not be able to fit "Thrones" into an early April debut date. In fact, mid-April is looking like a long shot as well. So "Game of Thrones" may not be back until late April at the earliest. You may now take a moment to curse both the old gods and the new.

This means that the season six finale of "Game of Thrones" will also be pushed deeper into summer than ever before. But how will we get our Daenerys Targaryen fix? Sadly, we'll just have to wait a little longer for it.

One silver lining to all this schedule reshuffling is that it gives author George R. R. Martin more time to finish the sixth novel, "The Winds of Winter," in his "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. But, if we're being 100 percent honest with ourselves, we don't think that book is coming anytime soon.
