Warning: the following contains spoilers for HBO's "Game of Thrones."

Season six of HBO's "Game of Thrones" is shaping up to be a blast from the past as several long absent, long dead or long thought to be dead characters have been rumored/confirmed to be returning.

Today comes word that yet another season three "Game of Thrones" character will be reappearing this season. Watchers on the Wall reports that actor Tobias Menzies will return as Edmure Tully, brother of Catelyn Stark. Menzies was reportedly seen filming on the Riverrun set recently.

Edmure's last on screen appearance came during his doomed Red Wedding to Roslin Frey. Since that fateful night he has been a hostage to the Freys. In addition to Edmure, the Blackfish (Catelyn's uncle) will also serve as another returning Tully this season.

But the Tully's aren't the only ones making a comeback. Gemma Whelan is confirmed to be returning as Yara Greyjoy (Theon's sister), while Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) and Joseph Mawie (Benjen Stark) are both rumored to be appearing in some form in season six. Though unconfirmed, it is thought that both characters may be seen in separate flashback sequences.

Season six of  "Game of Thrones" is expected to return in April, 2016.
