A year and three months after their third album "Red Light," SM Entertainment's edgy girl group f(x) released the aesthetically pleasing "4 Walls" music video at midnight on Oct. 27.

Unique and creepily beautiful, "4 Walls" is a tad different from f(x)'s former title songs.

The title is meant to establish f(x) as a now four-member group following the departure of Sulli.

Shot in Jeju Island, the video features light, visually appealing natural vistas.

The plot revolves around visions and premonitions as the girls find themselves magically transported into the mystic forests.

The cool and sweet-sounding mid-tempo is not as upbeat and energetic as f(x)'s previous main tracks, "La Cha Ta," "Hot Summer," and "Electric Shock." The song is, however, the most vocally pleasing yet from f(x).

The change makes us even more excited for an f(x) stage performance - given that f(x) is notably a dance group.

Prior to the release, f(x) kept their fans excited with a series of alluring teasers on their Facebook page, Instagram accounts and on their official website.

The latest comeback is much-awaited following the group's hiatus, during which former member Sulli left to be a full-time actress, reports Function Love.

For more than a year, the members busied themselves with solo activities. Amber released her hit solo MV "Shake That Brass" and appeared on variety shows. Krystal and Victoria pursued acting and modelling in Korea and China. Luna showed her vocal prowess through MBC's "King of the Mask Singer" musical.
