"Supergirl" will face off against one of DC Comics most notorious supervillains, the Toyman, during her first season of action.

The CBS superhero series, which premieres tonight, has cast Henry Czerny to guest star as Winslow Schott Sr. a.k.a. Toyman, according to Comicbook.com. He is only scheduled to appear in one episode later this season.

If the character name sounds familiar, it's because his estranged son Winslow "Winn" Schott Jr. (Jeremy Jordan) works alongside Kara Danvers a.k.a. Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) at CatCo Media.

Warner Bros. Television describes Schott Sr. as the "classic D.C. supervillain, a mad criminal genius known as Toyman - Winn's estranged father. Toyman weaponizes toys to wreak destruction and revenge but is ultimately driven by one thing - the obsessive desire to reunite with his beloved son."

Toyman joins other announced "Supergirl" villains including Non (Chris Vance), Dr. T.O. Morrow a.k.a. Red Tornado (Iddo Goldberg), Livewire (Brit Morgan) and Reactron (Chris Browning).

Czerny is best known for his roles in 1996's "Mission: Impossible" and ABC's "Revenge."

"Supergirl" premieres tonight at 8:30 p.m. on CBS. The show shifts to its regular timeslot at 8 p.m. next Monday, Nov. 2.
