AMC's "The Walking Dead" is one of the most popular drama series on television. As a result it has become one of the most popular panels at the New York Comic Con. This year will be no exception.

The convention always starts as the new season is debuting so it makes it a perfect storm of fan interest and availability of teaser material. Once again the huge hit series is set for NYCC This week with a big panel happening Saturday Oct. 12 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on the Main Stage. According to IGN, the panel will include: Andrew Lincoln ("Rick Grimes"), Chad Coleman ("Tyreese"), Danai Gurira ("Michonne"), Lauren Cohan "Maggie Greene"), Melissa McBride ("Carol"), Norman Reedus ("Daryl Dixon") and Steven Yeun ("Glenn").

The fourth season of the series will debut the very next night following the panel, which will include a special never before seen sneak preview and information on what to expect this year as the survivors face a new, undisclosed threat that may be deadlier than the walkers. Having said that, previews for the show, seen below, has a lot to do with the walkers being the next big threat. After last season's tagline of "fear the living," the zombies in the zombie apocalypse based show seem to be taking center stage once again as the prison that the survivors found last season becomes less and less secure for the larger group of survivors.

Robert Kirkman, the creator of the comic books the show is based on as well as the executive producer, has teased in interviews leading up to the premiere that the survivors will face a completely new threat. No one is sure if this means a new human villain or perhaps an evolution of the walkers themselves.

"The Walking Dead season four premieres Sunday at 9 ET 8 Central.
