Callie Twisselman is ready to make her mark in country music with the hot new song “Hung Me on the Line” — and Headlines & Global News has the exclusive premiere of its music video!

The Old West-themed video for the catchy tune, written by Twisselman’s good friend and fellow musician Ford Thurston, features the tale of a woman scorned — and may or may not end with her exacting revenge.

The “Hung Me on the Line” clip was filmed in Cholame, Calif., on Twisselman’s family’s grain and cattle ranch, and in nearby Parkfield, Calif. Sam Schneider directed it and also stars as her cheating lover.

The country cutie had only one demand for her new music video: her horses just had to be in it!

“I love riding horses,” Twisselman told HNGN. “The dark one that Sam rode, Keno, I did high school rodeo on. The one I rode is the one I use a lot nowadays in roping and stuff — her name’s Paso Cat.”

“It’s pretty fun,” added the singer about shooting the “Hung Me on the Line” video. “I never did one quite to that extent, a concept one. It was more like a mini-movie, so it was fun getting to act out the certain parts.”

Now that you’ve seen the clip, let’s talk about that cliffhanger ending. “There’s a shot in the background that you can hear, so it leaves ’em guessing whether I just shot my gun or got rid of the guy. It was cool,” said Twisselman. But make no mistake, if she wanted to kill the no-good scoundrel, she could have with no problem since the country gal knows her way around a gun! She added that it “would be pretty fun” to do a sequel video, picking up where this one left off.

Since Twisselman loved the more theatrical parts of her new music video, would she want to one day take a stab at TV or the movies? “I wouldn’t mind doing more acting — it’s something I enjoy,” she said.

And, if you like the 25-year-old’s beautiful white dress in the video, you can pick it up from her very own Sassy Girl by Callie Twisselman clothing line. Launched Aug. 1, the growing collection features items every cowgirl needs in her closet — plaids, fringes, tribal prints and more — all at very affordable prices. “I don’t design them, but eventually I’d like to,” the stylish singer said about Sassy Girl.

For now, though, Twisselman is focusing on her music career. Earlier this year, she released the five-song EP “Party Lights,” featuring the single “Breathe,” which hit the Top 30 on the MusicRow CountryBreakout Chart.

Currently living in Shandon, Calif., the singer and guitarist — who cites Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, George Strait and Johnny Cash as her main influences — begins a two-week stint today guest hosting the syndicated television program Country Fix, which features music videos from up-and-coming artists (like herself!) and well-established musicians.

What’s next for Twisselman? “I might do a radio tour. We’re talking about that,” she revealed. “I’ve also been writing a lot of music. I don’t have a set date of when I’ll put out the next [album], but when I am ready, I’ll have all the music planned out for it.”
