The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have finally settled into their newly renovated Kensington Palace home, Apartment 1-A, and now Kate Middleton can begin her first solo royal appearances since giving birth to Prince George in July.

According to Marie Claire UK, Middleton fans will be excited to know that the beloved Duchess has a number of public engagements to attend to in the coming weeks, putting her back in the spotlight after a brief hiatus at home with 10-week-old Prince George.

Though she and Prince William have made several appearances together since the birth of the royal baby, including the Tusk Conservation Awards in which Middleton dazzled in a silver sparkly dress, the Duchess will soon be flying solo during several upcoming events.

Clarence House has confirmed that Middleton will be attending a SportsAid event at Queen Elizabeth Park on Friday, Oct. 18, where the Duchess will take part in a training workshop and watch young athletes play basketball, football, volleyball, fencing and badminton, her first official solo engagement since the birth of her son.

Middleton previously helped out with the SportsAid charity earlier this year In April this year, taking on the responsibility of helping young athletes build their skills, confidence and aspirations.

On Oct. 23, Prince George's Christening will take place, though of course many royals will be in attendance in addition to Middleton, including Prince William, Prince Harry and the Queen herself. Because royal baptisms are not state affairs, the special event will be reserved for around 60 guests, including friends and family, and will take place around the 172-year-old baptismal Lily Font, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury.

As for the Duchess, rumors on Twitter are circulating that she will make an appearance at a medals parade with the Irish Guards on Dec. 6, as serving soldiers in Afghanistan have been tweeting in anticipation, though the palace has yet to confirm this engagement.
