Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez fans were in for a bit of a surprise over the weekend when a duet from the two pop stars leaked on Drake's OVO Sound Radio, Entertainment Tonight reported. The new track, titled "Strong," spread like wildfire across social media before being deleted from various accounts and sources claim there is no hope for the song to see a proper release.

The duet was reportedly recorded three years ago "for fun" and it was "never meant to be released," a source told Entertainment Tonight. "It's not appearing on anyone's album."

"Strong" featured lyrics that seemed to document the issues that plagued the couple's on-again, off-again relationship with lines like "Wishing I was better with the distance/Wishing I was better at this damn thing/'Cause it's just been too long and I can't change."

Rumors swirled online that the track would appear on Justin Bieber's upcoming album "Purpose," which is scheduled for a Nov. 13 released, Us Weekly reported. Although the exes don't plan to release new music together, they both have opened up about their former relationship in the press recently.

"I'll forever support him and love him in a way that.... We grew up together," Gomez told Elle about Bieber.

"It was a marriage kind of thing. Living with a girl, it was just too much at that age," Bieber told Complex about Gomez. "But we were so in love. Nothing else mattered."
