A bus station shooting in Israel left one person dead and at least six people injured and evacuated to a local hospital Sunday.

Two Arabs opened fire on the bus station in the boldest attack in the past month of violence that the country has faced, according to The StarOne of the attackers was immediately shot and killed, while the second was wounded. The attackers had entered the bus station and began shooting and stabbing people, including four police officers.

The attack was at the central bus station in the southern city of Beersheba, AFP reported. Soroka Hospital officials and Beersheba police both confirmed the death of at least one unnamed man during the attack. Beersheba's Soroka Hospital is treating 10 in their trauma room.

"We arrived to the scene en masse and spread throughout the station to look for other victims," said Gadi Abuchatira, deputy head of the MDA Negev Region, according to Fox News. "We did a triage and began giving life-saving treatment. Two of them had wounds to their upper bodies, they were unconscious."

"Four of the injured were fully conscious in moderate condition and suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso and legs," Abuchatira added. "A woman was also injured with a gunshot wound to the limbs."

"This has no political meaning," said Emmanuel Nahshon, spokesman for Israel's Foreign Ministry. "It's one more aspect of our security measures."

Daily attacks in Israel have caused a panic in the country, with fear that Israel is facing a new wave of violence.
