The USC Trojans are reportedly considering Chip Kelly as their next head coach, and he will have some interest, according to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport.

As soon as the Trojans lost to Washington last Thursday, rumors began flying as to who would be the next head coach in Southern California. Kelly was one of the first names mentioned, and it seems as though he may have some interest as well. After losing Saturday night to rival Notre Dame with interim head coach Clay Helton, the talks for a new head coach are only mounting.

Kelly reportedly told the Eagles organization that he isn't planning on making the transition back to college, but that is only likely certain if the Eagles continue to win. The Eagles seemed to get their offense clicking last week, as they scored 39 points on the Saints. Kelly is likely focusing on the New York Giants, as they play a meaningful Monday night game against them this week.

Kelly has a record of 22-15 and has had the Eagles at double-digit wins in his first two seasons. Unless the Eagles implode, and don't even compete for the postseason, it seems as though Kelly will be there for the foreseeable future.

It would be interesting to imagine Kelly at USC, as he could probably return that program to greatness. Kelly already pulled in top recruits at Oregon, so one could imagine the type of players he could bring to the Trojans. For now, it seems he is staying put in Philadelphia, but depending on how the Eagles season plays out, it's possible to see a return to the college level.
