"Terminator" star Arnold Schwarzenegger will make his Indian film debut with Rajinikanth's Tamil film "Enthiran 2" ("Robot 2" in Hindi and Telugu).

"Robot 2" director Shankar confirmed recently that he has signed the Hollywood actor for his next project.

"Arnold and I discuss a lot of Indian movies. He attended the audio launch of my Vikram starrer, I, and told me that he wanted to work in Tamil films. He was impressed with the storyline of Enthiran 2 and agreed to be a part of the film," Shankar said, according to Bangalore Mirror.

It is speculated that Arnold will be playing a negative role in the movie. He will probably be playing the modern day robot version of Ravana in the film, which is based on Hindu Epic "Ramayana."

"Singh Is Bling" actress Amy Jackson has recently signed up as lead actress of the Rajnikanth starrer, according to Business of Cinema.

"Rajini sir will be reprising his role of Chitti from the original and this time, the film will be bigger and better. Arnold Schwarzenegger will be playing the villain in the film and he's already given his nod," a source told DNA.

Arnold had earlier expressed his desire to work in a Tamil movie. "I want to ask Shankar, what about me? I came all the way to India for a job interview so I can be in your next movie," Arnold had said last year during the audio launch of Shankar's previous film I in Chennai, according to The Telegraph.

Media reports also said that Arnold will be getting nearly 100 Crore rupees for his role in Shankar's movie, Filmibeat reported.

"Enthiran 2," a superhero sci-fi film, is a sequel to Rajinikanth's "Enthiran," which was India's most expensive film until recently.
