Mark Hamill has finally decided to address what had long been considered to be a line fumble in 1977's "Star Wars: A New Hope," the first film in the franchise.

The scene in question is when Hamill, as Luke Skywalker, comes back from the Battle of Yavin after destroying the Death Star and is greeted by his friends to celebrate the victory. It was a long-held belief that Hamill yells "Carrie" when embracing Carrie Fisher instead of her character name Leia, according to Entertainment Weekly.

In response to a fan's question about a Screen Rant video, which points out the error, Hamill ended the confusion once and for all, calling the supposed mistake "Total BS."

Hamill claims he actually said "There she..." as in, "There she is," and that the dialogue in that scene was dubbed, The Huffington Post reported.
