Presidential contender Marco Rubio was greeted by a lively crowd on the Las Vegas Strip Friday night, when he gave a stump speech during happy hour, according to CNN.

"No, no, no...I drink water," Rubio said when the crowd tried to encourage him to have a cocktail. The joke, a self-deprecating dig at Rubio's now-infamous State of the Union rebuttal, was well-received by the crowd. "They're handing out mojitos in the middle of my speech, I love it," he said.

Sen. Rubio (R-Fla.) also gave a speech at a Catholic school during his Vegas trip, according to The Miami Herald. He spent three days in Nevada and held two campaign rallies.

Donald Trump was also in Las Vegas in the past week, with some of his time overlapping with Rubio's visit, though the two men didn't speak at the same locations, CBS News reported. Trump visited the Treasure Island casino Thursday night to speak to a crowd of about 1,600. The event was also attended by a Trump impersonator, who held a mock press conference before the real Donald took the stage.

Rubio spoke to a smaller crowd of about 600 the same night in a different location. Both men received standing ovations at the end of their speeches.
