A 20-year-old Syrian woman who fled to Germany after being gang raped in her home country has been found murdered and buried in a shallow grave on Friday in Dessau, eastern Germany. Police believe that the crime was orchestrated by the victim's own mother, who believed that her daughter had soiled the family's honor due to her being violated, according to The Independent.

The body of the woman, known only as "Rokstan M," was found with multiple stab wounds. Her father and two brothers are currently the primary suspects for the crime.

Rokstan had only been living with her family for a few days before the crime had allegedly happened. She previously resided in a house for single women, working as a translator for asylum-seekers who are entering the country.

Shortly before her untimely death, the 20-year-old seemed to have a premonition about her impending fate, writing on her WhatsApp profile that "I am awaiting death. But I am too young to die."

Mark Krüger, an author who employed her as a translator, believes that her very own family was responsible for her death. According to the author, a tape that Rokstan made can provide a clue as to who may be behind the murder, reported the Daily Mail.

"I was taken by three men. Ever since that time my family have regarded me as unclean. My mother and my brothers mistreat me. They say that I deserve to die," Rokstan stated in the tape.

Her mother, who is believed to be the one who orchestrated the murder, strongly denies the allegations.

"I had nothing to do with her death," she said.

Despite her mother's denial, her brothers have gone into hiding, and her father, Hasso, is believed to have fled to Turkey or Syria.
