Teresa Giudice has been trying to keep a positive attitude in prison, but it isn't always such an easy thing to do.

The 43-year-old "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star has been behind bars since Jan. 5 for fraud, and luckily, she will be returning home sometime around Christmas, but her husband Joe Giudice has revealed that she's having a hard time.

"She's holding up. I can't say she's doing great but she looks good," Joe, 43, told Entertainment Tonight. "She keeps her spirits up and tries to make us feel like she's OK but she's really not. She wants to be home."

Once Teresa is released, Joe will begin his 41-month prison sentence for the same incident. They took a plea that allows them to serve time separately so they could take care of their four daughters Gia, 14, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 9, and Audriana, 6.

On Wednesday, Joe also spoke on "Today" about how guilty he feels that his wife is spending this much time in prison.

"I was to blame, sure. I took full responsibility for everything, but they still put her away," he explained. "I was supposed to go away, not her. That was part of the plea, or I thought anyway. I don't know what happened in the courtroom that day."

"I feel like somebody just snapped my neck," he said of the moment he found out they'd be sentenced. "I felt the pain, the chill going down my spine. I couldn't believe it."

As for his upcoming sentence, he tries not to think about it. "If you do that..." he explained. "You're just going to drive yourself crazy."
