The iPhone 6s has been out for a little more than a week, and accounts of consumer experience are already beginning to trickle in.

Unfortunately, it appears that some users are unhappy about few lingering problems and chief among these is the tendency of the device's Touch ID to become too hot.

The heating issue became evident as consumers start to post their grievances at Apple's support forum.

"I have had my phone since Friday, and this morning when I woke up the home button was burning hot and the screen is just black. I went to bed with it working just fine last night, plugged it in to charge, and now it won't work. Nothing else is hot, not even the charging port, just the home button is on fire. I have had the phone unplugged for an hour and the button is still on fire," a user posted in the Apple forum.

The problem is confirmed by several irate iPhone 6S owners who took to Twitter to vent their frustration. See some of the posts below.

The iPhone 6S also powers off even when the battery is still at 50 percent, based on user complaints. In addition, there are also owners who report sound distortions at the Apple forum. What is worse is that the issues are not confined to the hardware. There are reports that indicate bugs such as how Safari links do not open when tapped, according to 9to5Mac.

There is still no official statement from Apple that addresses the emergent iPhone 6S problems. In the meantime, users are coming up with their own solutions such as how the heating issue is temporarily resolved by resetting the device, according to Mashable.
