Convicted killer Nikko Jenkins, who is known for self-mutilation and currently serving time in a Nebraska prison, was hospitalized recently after he sliced his penis into the shape of an ancient Egyptian serpent God, reported the Daily Mail.

This is not the first time that Jenkins engaged in self-mutilation, having sliced his tongue to look like a snake and then he smeared his blood on the walls in his cell a few months ago.

The purported "psychopath" previously carved the numbers "666" into his forehead while facing a mirror, so the numbers came out backwards, noted Omaha.com. 

How exactly the inmate is getting the tools to carve his skin is a mystery to guards at Nebraska State Penitentiary.

Nebraska prosecutors believe that the 29-year-old convict is faking mental illness to avoid facing the death penalty. Jenkins told Douglas County District Court Judge Peter Bataillon that he carved "666" into his head because his mental illness is not being treated, Omaha.com reported.

The murderer of four victims successfully delayed the death penalty hearing for one year, claiming to be incompetent to stand trial and tattooing a swastika between his eyes, which serial killer Charles Manson has in the same spot. Jenkins' shenanigans have dragged the case on for 20 months.

Jenkins was released from prison in July 2013 under a supervised release program. He killed four people over the span of 10 days: Juan Uribe-Pena, Jorge Cajiga-Ruiz, Curtis Bradford and Andrea Kruger.

The killer proceeded to plead not guilty, guilty, and then insanity and unable to stand trial. Jenkins asserted that he had no recollection of killing the victims and that an Egyptian god called Ahpophis told him to kill the "four as human sacrifices in a foreign language," stated The Daily Mail.

Prison psychiatrist Dr. Eugene Oliveto testified in February 2013 that Jenkins was a "psychopath and one of the most dangerous people [he] had ever evaluated."

Jenkins continues to await his death-penalty hearing.
