Producer Joo Tae Young died of leukemia on Sept. 6, shortly after composing the song "My First Love."

On Sept. 22, the music video for the song was released on YouTube. Performed by Kpop girl group Berry Good, the song was a love story that did not end happily.

On the same day as the MV release, Berry Good performed the song first on SBS MTV's "The Show." The performance was very beautiful and heartfelt at the beginning, but as the song progressed, the singers were unable to hold their emotions. When the chorus started, tears were coming from the girls' eyes.

The group continued with the moving performance while the audience began to worry about the girls. Nonetheless, they were able to finish the song, AllKpop reported.

After the performance, the story of the composer was revealed. Joo had been writing the song on his last days and wanted to finish it before he passed away.

Joo, a hitmaker in the '90s, wrote the popular songs of former top groups Fin.K.L and Sechs Kies. He was first diagnosed with blood cancer in 2001. He underwent blood stem cell transplant surgery. While he recovered for a while, his illness came back recently, Soompi reported.

Among Joo's compositions are Fin.K.L's "Eternal Love," Sech Kies' "Com'Back," Click-B's "Love Letter" and "Dreaming," SoChan Wee's "Tears" and Goofy's "Shock."
