Amber Portwood, star of MTV's "Teen Mom OG," took to Twitter Thursday to share some exciting news! Portwood announced her official wedding date and even dished on the role her daughter Leah will play in the ceremony, MTV reported.

"It's official me and @mattbEPT are getting married next October 2016 I can't wait! Sending love everyone," Portwood announced on Twitter, adding a smiley face and heart emoji.

The "Teen Mom OG" star's relationship with Matt Baier was documented on the last season of the MTV reality series, and the couple faced doubts and scrutiny from Portwood's family. Her family expressed concern with Baier, a recovering addict, and worried that the couple rushed into a relationship too quickly after Portwood was released from prison, where she overcame her own struggle with addiction.

But Portwood defended her man during the "Teen Mom OG" reunion special and said that the couple would wait a year before making any wedding plans.

Now the couple is ready to move forward with its nuptials, and Portwood tweeted that the details for the ceremony are still being worked out. However, she did dish on the role her daughter, 6-year-old Leah, with whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Gary Shirley.

"She'll be my little flower girl," Portwood tweeted.
