Eyeliners are applied to emphasize the beauty of the eyes, but makeup artists have come up interesting ways to use this tool creatively. The new trend is called graphic eyeliner, according to InStyle. It involves creating more lines, shadows, colors and shapes using the eyes as the canvas.
"This eye makes me feel rebellious. I'd wear it with sexy heels and a badass pair of jeans," says actress Amber Heard, via InStyle. "This is for that cool girl who puts eyeliner on and nothing else," says makeup Hollywood artist Jeanine Lobell.
Beauty bloggers are also in on the trend, and even if you're not a makeup professional, it's easy to do this season's latest makeup obsession simply by letting your creativity flow, according to Makeup For Life. Experimentation works well with this technique, so don't be afraid to mix colors and designs. Don't obsess about balance or symmetry either, as you can do a different design with each eye.
