Diamondbacks announcers started making fun of a group of sorority women as they took selfies of themselves in the stands, according to DB Techno. In Phoenix Stadium, the Arizona Diamondbacks were taking on the Colorado Rockies, but the young ladies of Alpha Chi seemed less interested in the game and more interested in themselves.

Apparently, announcers Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly had enough of seeing the young women taking photos of themselves while eating churros and hot dogs and decided to have some fun of their own - by making fun of them.

Instead of commenting on the baseball game, the announces began to give a play-by-play of the sorority, mocking them and commentating on their actions, according to the Daily Mail.

"Here's my first bite of the churro. Here's my second bite of the churro," said the mocking commentators. "You know, the beauty of baseball is that you can sit next to your neighbor and have a conversation. Or, you can just completely ignore them."

They kept making jokes as the women continued to take photos and said that they should send the mascot over to take their phones away.

Some people applauded the announcers' efforts, but others, like writer Danielle Tullo, thought the actions were too cruel and that the young ladies did nothing wrong, according to Cosmopolitan.

"Dear newscasters: Welcome to the year 2015! Where taking selfies with your friends is as normal as waving hello to them," she wrote. "These girls are all of us."
