A woman who complained of pains in her ear was shocked to find that the pain was coming from a tiny spider that had burrowed inside of her ear canal, according to the Huffington Post.

Li Meng, a 25-year-old woman from Xiamen, China, kept hearing scratch-like sounds in her inner ear.

She took medicine for the problem but nothing worked, according to Fox News.

"I even went to a temple to pray but it didn't help," she said.

Not too long after, the pain began getting worse and worse – until it was so bad that Meng was forced to go seek help from professional doctors at the Xiamen Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

There, an ear, nose and throat specialist gave her the horrible news: she had been living with a spider in her ear canal, which was crawling around and weaving webs, according to the Blaze.

The problems didn't stop there either. Doctors still had to remove the tiny creature from her ear, but every time they tried the little pest would scamper around within Meng's ear, causing her great pain.

Doctors were eventually able to use subdue the terrible pest and remove it.

Ming is not sure how it got in her ear but says it most likely happened during a hiking trip with her boyfriend after she climbed a tree.
