The Originals Series Premiere: Will Elijah and Hayley Become a Couple; 4 Major Questions Leading Into the Premiere

“The Originals” officially premieres this Thursday. However, we’ve already seen the pilot and were left with a bit of questions. So, here are some preliminary questions heading into Season 3 of The Originals:

No. 1—Are Elijah (Daniel Gillies) and Haley (Phoebe Tonkin) Going to be a Thing?

Elijah has already vowed to Sophie (Danielle Pineda) and her merry band of witches that if they hurt Haley or the baby—they are going to have to deal with him. (Something I’m sure they don’t want.) Elijah’s a good guy and it won’t be a surprise if Haley falls for him. They would make a nice couple—let’s see if Julie Plec and her team agree.

No. 2—Just How Powerful is Davina (Danielle Campbell)?

We saw a glimpse of Davina’s power at the end of the pilot—and she looks pretty scary. Is she Marcel’s (Charles Michael Davis) secret weapon against Klaus? Is this one of the reasons the witches fear Marcel? Does Klaus stand a chance against her?

No. 3—Who will Camille (Leah Pipes) End Up With?

Camille has the excellent fortune of being stuck between the affection of two deadly vampires. (You can hear the sarcasm dripping off the word “excellent”.) Will the battle for Camille be much like Stefan’s (Paul Wesley) and Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) battle for Elena (Nina Dobrev)? Does Claire Holt’s (who plays Rebekah) hint that Rebekah ends up with Marcel mean that Klaus has the upper hand?

No. 4—What Type of Baby Will it Be?

Exactly what type of child do a werewolf and a hybrid produce? Anyone else scratching their head here?

“The Originals” officially premieres Thursday, Oct. 3 at 9/8c on The CW (The premiere shows the pilot from Elijah's point of view.) It will then air on Tuesdays at 8/7c.
