Jimmy Kimmel was moved to tears when he officiated the wedding of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux. Theroux was on "Good Morning America" this morning to promote the second season of his HBO show "The Leftovers" and revealed that the late night host got very emotional during the ceremony.

"It was exactly what you would want him to do," he said on GMA.  "He was extremely funny, kept things extremely light, was extremely touching. Cried a little bit, he did. It was just the perfect tone for the night."

Aniston and Theroux's wedding was a star studded event that took place at their home in Bel Air, Calif., in early August.

While it was an intimate affair, there were tons of A-listers in attendance, like Lisa Kudrow, Howard Stern, Chelsea Handler, Jennifer Meyer, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Ellen DeGeneres, Jason Bateman and Sia. The wedding was a surprise for all and guests that attended were told the celebration was for Aniston's birthday.

Theroux said his marriage to Aniston was "fantastic" and he could feel a real "switch" in their relationship when the two finally tied the knot.

"It was a longtime coming and it's a wonderful thing," the actor said.

Kimmel's performance at the couple's wedding was not the first time the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host got emotional in public. In July, Kimmel got very emotional as he discussed the death of Cecil the lion, which was killed by an American dentist in Zimbabwe. In a passionate three minute speech, Kimmel asked how a human being could be compelled to kill an innocent lion.
