The first official sneak peek from the upcoming season of "American Horror Story: Hotel" premiered last night during Ryan Murphy's other show, "Scream Queens." The premiere is now less than a week away, and the new clip features the mysterious room 64 inside the hotel.

In the clip, Wes Bentley's character, detective John Lowell, lays down in the bed that is in room 64. The camera pans down and reveals that Max Greenfield's character, Gabriel - a junkie - hiding under the bed. The scene is from the one of the first two episodes of the season and is a pivotal scene inside room 62, according to Entertainment Weekly's Tim Stack

Room 64 was once the office of mass murderer James March, played by Evan Peters, in "American Horror Story: Hotel."

Greenfield, an "American Horror Story" virgin, said that Co-creator and writer Ryan Murphy loves trying to push the envelope.

"Ryan gets real pleasure out of how far, I think, he can push it. And when we were doing that stuff, he was happy and he was scared," Greenfield said. "We all were. And it was a good vibe on set because of that. I think we were like, 'F- yeah, man.' Let's push this and let's see how far we can go."

American Horror Story: Hotel premieres Oct. 7 on FX.
