Naya Rivera is a first-time mommy! Us Weekly confirmed that the 28-year-old "Glee" star and her husband, actor Ryan Dorsey, welcomed a baby boy in August.

"They are so excited to be first-time parents. It was a very easy pregnancy and birth," an insider told Us Weekly. "Naya was born to be a mother and is doing really great so far. And Ryan has amazing paternal instincts and has been waiting on them both hand and foot."

No additional information regarding the newborn's birth has been released.

Rivera first announced she was pregnant in April via Instagram, posting an image of a bun in an oven. The actress also revealed the exciting news on her website, writing, "Surprise! We're having a baby! Ryan and I feel so blessed and can't wait to welcome the newest member of our family."

The couple met six years ago and become romantically involved shortly after Rivera ended her relationship with Big Sean. Rivera and Dorsey tied the knot in Cabo San Lucas July 14, 2014, in front of a few family members. Rivera's wedding date was reportedly the same day she had originally set up to marry ex-fiancé Big Sean.

"We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife," the couple told People magazine at the time. "Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for. True love always prevails."

The actress is set to release her memoir "Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes, And Growing Up" in spring 2016. The book tells the story of Rivera's path from rags to riches, including working as a Hooters waitress before landing the role of Santana Lopez on the Fox hit "Glee."
