Brian Austin Green isn't leaving his marriage to Megan Fox empty-handed! According to documents filed Tuesday and obtained by TMZ, the 42-year-old former "Beverly Hills, 90210" star is asking his soon-to-be ex-wife for spousal support. Green also requested joint custody of their two young children — 3-year-old Noah and 18-month-old Bodhi.

The actor has reportedly been unable to work full-time since he was involved in a serious car accident in December. Although he was left unscathed, reports claimed the incident triggered a medical condition called vertigo, which affects balance. Green's vertigo is allegedly so bad that he can't get out of bed, according to TMZ. He has had very little projects since the accident, making Fox the household's primary breadwinner.

Green's petition comes one month after Fox filed divorce papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court. She cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, and also asked for joint custody of their two sons. The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" actress filed for divorce Aug. 21, but listed the separation date as June 15.

"Megan has separated from Brian. They decided on it six months ago," an insider told Us Weekly, adding that "things have been rocky" between the two. The last time they were seen together in public was during a lunch outing June 9 in Beverly Hills.

Another insider said Fox is extremely "independent" and has "gone off and done her own thing recently." The pair, who have been together for 11 years and married for five years, are now still living in the same house and have remained on "friendly terms."

They reportedly did not sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in 2010.

Following the divorce filing, Green was spotted still wearing his wedding band. Meanwhile, Fox, who has joined the cast of "New Girl," made a comeback to Instagram by posting a black-and-white selfie, with the caption: "Hi. I'm still here, I just continue to have an angsty relationship with social media. But what better way to express my apprehension than with a selfie. This time in black n white!"
