Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale could find himself at Manchester United sooner rather than later, according to the Sunday Times. United failed to sign Bale during the summer transfer window but has not given up hope, according to ESPN FC

Over the summer, United pursued Bale from Madrid, but a deal could not be agreed upon and ultimately never took place. The latest rumors pouring out of Spain are that Madrid wishes to sign Chelsea winger Eden Hazard - a move that could open the door for Bale to leave for a new club if desired.

Manchester United is the likeliest of all European clubs to pursue the Wales attacker, especially with a lack of attacking options up front. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is reportedly interested in making a move for Hazard, according to Bleacher Report. Madrid is no stranger to making incredible bids for top players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Bale. Bringing in a player like Hazard fits perfectly with recent transfer history moves.

Since the beginning of the 2015 La Liga season, Bale has played exceptionally well for Madrid, scoring two goals and adding three assists in three appearances. Bale is sidelined at the moment with a knee injury, but that should not hinder his overall progress on the season. A move to United is lingering but could come at a high price for the Red Devils. Chelsea have yet to comment on the rumors of Hazard leaving the club.
