Ed Sheeran had time to perfect his acoustic rendition of Beyoncé's "Drunk in Love," after performing the song during radio show appearances to pay homage to the queen bee, MTV reported. And now he finally got to sing his cover with Beyoncé herself when she joined the English pop singer onstage during the 2015 Global Citizen Festival in New York City.

Both artists were on-hand to perform onstage in Central Park over the weekend and Beyoncé performed during the headlining spot on Saturday night, according to Entertainment Weekly. The gracious Bey invited Sheeran to join her onstage for a duet.

After greeting Beyoncé with a hug, Sheeran strummed along on his acoustic guitar and kicked the song off by singing the first couple of bars, according to fan-shot footage. Beyoncé joined in on the hook, adding a layer of gorgeous harmonies to the song that don't exist on the original track.

The stripped down version of "Drunk in Love" allowed room for their voices to shine brightly, which paired beautifully together as Sheeran and Beyoncé gave a perfect delivery.

But Yoncé couldn't help but turn the spotlight on her fans and invited them to sing along, which they did enthusiastically during the chorus.

"Sing it y'all," Beyoncé encouraged them. "Y'all sound so good!"
