Beyoncé, the queen bee herself, joined Pearl Jam rocker Eddie Vedder for a duet onstage during the 2015 Global Citizen Festival in New York City on Saturday for a cover of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song," Rolling Stone reported. The unlikely musical collaboration was used to shed light on poverty across the world.

Vedder sat perched on a stool onstage in Central Park with an acoustic guitar and introduced Beyoncé, who walked out to a chorus of "woos" and applause from the audience. The queen bee was dressed casually in a white jersey with the words "Global Citizen Festival" emblazoned on the front. She paired it with a pair of dark, fitted jeans and kept her makeup to a minimum and her long ombré blonde hair in loose waves.

She joined Vedder, sitting on a stool next to him. They shared a look and a smile before Vedder began strumming the opening chords to the legendary Marley's "Redemption Song." The lyrics of the song call for freedom and freeing of the mind.

During the bridge of the tune, a video of revolutionary politician Nelson Mandela played on a screen behind Vedder and Beyoncé, according to Variety. The South African president spoke of overcoming poverty in the recording of one of his speeches.
