Gold & Co has launched the world's first 24-carat gold, rose gold and platinum iPhone 5S, which is set to go on public display Friday, at the World Luxury Expo at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi.

Craze for the new Apple iPhone 5S has reached its peak. First the record-breaking sales of the new Apple device, which surpassed 9 million units since its debut, and then the rare, gold color iPhone that was auctioned on eBay for $10,100, Monday. But for those who are willing to bid for that rare iPhone 5S, they can grab an iPhone 5S made out of actual gold and even save some dollars.

Gold & Co. has launched new iPhone 5S devices made out of actual 24-carat gold. These new iPhones will come in rose gold as well as platinum, which will go on display Friday at the World Luxury Expo at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, according to iAfrica.com. The news came just a day after the rare-iPhone bid was reported in the media.

Last year, the goldsmith unveiled the iPhone 5 devices made out of pure gold at the World Luxury Expo and this time it's a range of iPhone 5S devices. Customers have a very thin chance of grabbing one of gold, rose gold or the platinum iPhone 5S as only 250 of each will be produced and will come with an exclusive display case.

The 24-carat gold iPhone 5S will be priced at $5000, which is too expensive but compared to the auctioned one, it is still a way better deal. Similarly, the company will sell the rose gold model of the phone for $5300 and $5550 for the platinum one. Even the highest priced iPhone 5S from Gold & Co. is not close to what was sold on eBay.

Mobile phones, laptops and other gadgets made out of gold may sound unnecessary luxury to some people, but some choose to maintain their standard by either buying one or customizing on for themselves. In April, U.K. based craftsman, Stuart Hughes built the world's most expensive iPhone 5, engraved with a black diamond on a gold iPhone chassis with 600 flawless white diamonds and 53 fine diamonds for the logo. The owner of the world's most expensive iPhone 5 remains anonymous but hails from China and is a renowned businessman. The iPhone 5 is listed on Hughes' website, valued at more than $16 million.
