Amy Poehler and boyfriend Nick Kroll have called it quits after two years together, Us Weekly reported. A source claimed that the pair could not make their relationship work because of their hectic work schedules.

"Unfortunately, they just couldn't make the relationship work with their schedules," a source close to the couple told the publication. The insider added, "They really tried, but it just wasn't realistic anymore. They were spending more time apart than together."

The 44-year-old "Parks and Recreation" actress was first linked to the 37-year-old "Kroll Show" star in May 2013, just a few months after she announced her separation from ex-husband Will Arnett. Poehler and Arnett were married from 2003 to 2012 and have two children together - six-year-old Archie and five-year-old Abel.

Poehler opened up about dating after her divorce and her relationship with Kroll in her 2014 memoir, "Yes Please," writing, "I have a boyfriend who knows how to settle me. He puts his hand on my chest and tells me boring stories. On one of our first nights together, I woke up apologizing for my snoring and he pulled out two earplugs he had worn to bed so he could hear what I was saying. It was one of the most romantic gestures I have ever seen."

Last year, the actress opened up to People about dating in her 40's .

"I find my relationships at 40-plus are really emulsified, juicy relationships because you have more of a sense of who you are and who you want to be around," Poehler said. "Talented men are not threatened by talented women. They welcome them. And same way with real men."
