LSU running back Leonard Fournette would be the best player in the NFL draft, at least according to Chase Goodbread of College Football 24/7.

It actually isn't that shocking of a claim, although it is definitely debatable. After this weekend though, it's really hard for anyone to deny Fournette's greatness, as he rushed for 228 yards and scored three touchdowns against Auburn.

This wasn't Fournette racking up numbers against some smaller school, but instead was against a legitimate SEC power in Auburn. Fournette was so great on Saturday he even was compared to the great Adrian Peterson.

Fournette "would be the first guy picked in the (NFL) draft if you just say, 'Who is the best player?"' said NFL Media senior analyst Gil Brandt, via College Football 24/7. That doesn't mean he will go number one, as Brandt explained that different positions are valued higher than others.

The sophomore running back won't even be draft-eligible until 2017, but that hasn't stopped him from being projected as a first round pick. In a 2017 NFL mock draft, Fournette was seen going as the 24th pick in the first round, according to walterfootball.com. He already has six touchdowns in two games, and could be in the Heisman race towards the end of the season.

Fournette looks to join the list of the great running backs at LSU including Joseph Addai, Jim Taylor, and Kevin Faulk. Fournette is working his way onto that list, but his game this past Saturday will likely never be forgotten in Baton Rouge.

Fournette is likely one of the best players in all of college football, and if the draft were exclusively based on talent it's believable to think he would be number one.
