LSU running back Leonard Fournette dominated this Saturday against Auburn, and even reminded some of the great Oklahoma alum, Adrian Peterson, according to Lance Zierlein of College Football 24/7.

Fournette proved again why he was such a heavily recruited player out of high school, and why he is consistently getting hyped as the next great running back. He has moves, and that was clearly seen on Saturday when he was dipping and dodging defenders. But he also has size and power, as he ran straight over a defensive back, plowing him into his own teammate.

Fournette is 6-foot-1, 230 pounds, but has lightning speed. Against Auburn, he rushed for 228 yards and scored three touchdowns. Fournette averaged 12 yards per carry, earning LSU a first down almost every time he touched the ball.

This game was his statement game, and put him on every map of college football, if he wasn't already there. Last season as a freshman, Fournette rushed for 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns. He will likely easily pass those numbers this season, barring an injury. He already has six touchdowns this year and is averaging two-and-a-half more yards per carry this season.

Fournette is a likely Heisman candidate, and could likely be a rare first round running back choice in the next couple seasons. LSU plays Syracuse followed by Eastern Michigan, and both of those teams are likely to be stat stackers for Fournette.

Fournette is not quite on a Peterson level yet, but that doesn't mean he can't be a dominate running back in the NFL in a couple years.
