We’re a few weeks away from the spin-off that is “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” and I’m hoping it brings all of the excitement and nostalgia from childhood story time that the original “Once Upon a Time” brings. So here are the three things I’m looking forward to in Once Upon a Time.

No.1—The Back Stories

The original OUPT used the flashback effectively to show why each character was the way they were. We learned why Regina was so evil, how Mr. Gold became so dark and how Mary Margaret and David met in their past lives. So I expect more of the same in OUPTW. I want to know how the genie got in lamp, how the knave got his heart back and why the rabbit is always on time. Yes these stories were told to me as a kid, but a refresher course would be nice.

No. 2—The Villains.

Jafar has already been slated to appear in OUPW which brings about the question every Disney fan is wondering—Why is the villain from Aladdin in the land of The Queen of Hearts. This should prove to be an interesting story and I hope it doesn’t stop with Jafar. Let’s see what other story book villains they introduce into Wonderland.

No. 3—Crossover

This show would not do itself justice unless there was eventually some crossover between it and the original OUPT. A team led by Emma and Alice would be quite fun to watch.

“Once Upon a Time” premieres Thursday Oct. 10 at 8/7c.
