Shaun Derienzo discovered a two-week-old puppy in a donation bin outside of a Walmart in Ferguson, Miss., reported KPLR 11 News. The puppy was found on Thursday, but no one seems to be sure how long the puppy had been inside the donation bin.

Derienzo works at Big Brothers & Big Sisters and was just out doing routine stops. The bin he found the puppy in belonged to them. Their mission statement says that they work to "provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever," according to Fox2Now. Derienzo spread their mission to a homeless puppy in need and changed its life in the process.

"Me and my coworker, we open up the bin and we're cleaning out the clothes and we hear a little bit of a squeak.  And just like normal we thought it was a kid's toy making some squeaking noise in the bins, you know we were moving stuff around and stopped for a second. So I'm unloading a few more bags, a few more bags and then the sweatshirt started moving and out comes a little baby pitbull. So yeah it was crazy. It was weird. It was unbelievable," Derienzo explained, KTRE reported.

Soon after, the small pitbull puppy was taken and treated at a local animal hospital. The good news is that he has already been adopted and taken to his new home!
