'Modern Family' Cast Recreates Classic Scenes From Hollywood's Favorite TV Shows (VIDEOS)

"Modern Family" might be the most popular show on TV today, but so many legendary shows have come and gone before their time. To honor these shows, and the upcoming Emmy's, the cast recreated some of the most classic scenes from all of our favorite shows in honor of The Hollywood Reporter's list of Hollywood's 100 favorite TV shows, on which "Modern Family" was ranked No. 14.

Thanks to the amazing cast and The Hollywood Reporter, we got to see scenes from "Breaking Bad," "Cheers," and "I Dream of Jeannie," recreated with their own comical twist. From Jesse Tyler Ferguson as Jesse Pinkman, to Sarah Hyland as Jeannie the genie, to Ed O'Neil as, well, himself, they did an unbelievable job at making their own special versions of these shows we all know and love.

The Hollywood Reporter's awards and special projects editor Stacey Wilson Hunt said that it took the cast five-hours to create all of these looks on Sept. 2. She even revealed that they were "incredibly calm." Creative director Shanti Marlar added, "This cast is a well-oiled machine and was really into the idea."

Season seven of "Modern Family" premieres Wednesday, Sept. 23 on ABC.

"Married With Children"

For this show, which aired from 1987 to 1997, O'Neil took a trip down memory lane as he got to play his beloved character Al Bundy one more time, only this time his wife Peg Bundy was played by his other TV wife, Sofia Vergara. It didn't take much for O'Neil to get into character as he was used to doing this for ten years, but Vergara nailed it, big hair and all.

While on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Monday, Vergara gave fans a preview of the special photo shoot, according to E! News. "It was amazing. Yah, I was dressed like that," she told the host. "[Ed] was very excited and he was telling me how to pose and he liked it. I think he liked it a lot." A few weeks ago, she posted a photo of herself in the red wig, writing, "Do you like this look Ed Oneal????"

"Frasier"

For this 90s classic, Ariel Winter, Eric Stonestreet and Ferguson did their best impressions as they posed as Frasier Crane, Daphne Moon and Dr. Niles Crane.

"The Mary Tyler Moore Show"

Julie Bowen starred solo for this one, and loved every second of portraying Mary Richards. "I worship Mary Tyler Moore," she said. "And I think her show was one of the original great [programs] about a girl. She was funny, and she was smart. And she wasn't just the girlfriend or the wife. Photographer Ramona Rosales even said that she played the show's theme song on set to get the mood going, and Bowen ate it right up, jumping and throwing her hat in the air.

"I Dream of Jeannie"

For this photo shoot, on screen brother and sister Nolan Gould and Sarah Hyland play Major Nelson and Jeannie from the popular 60s show. The two had so much fun creating the characters on set, and Hyland makes a pretty perfect genie. "I loved her outfit," Hyland says of the character. "And her positive attitude."

When asked what they would do if they had their very own genies, the two got pretty deep in thought over what they'd really wish for. Hyland says world peace, while Gould jokes and says, "I wouldn't trust myself with a genie. As a teenage boy who is very irresponsible, I probably wouldn't ask for world peace. I'd ask for a yacht." After hearing his answer, Hyland changes her original one and instead asks for an "endless amount of money" so she could not only donate towards world peace, but buy herself stuff, too.

"Breaking Bad"

As the most recent of the shows, and the funniest to recreate, Ferguson and Stonestreet absolutely nailed these roles. With Stonestreet as Walter White and Ferguson as Jesse Pinkman, you can't help but laugh when you see the photos of these two hysterical actors trying to pose as serious meth dealers. "The 'Breaking Bad' shoot had everyone laughing," photo editor Michelle Stark said. "Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet were really touch and in character-then they suddenly went into their 'Modern Family' characters. It was hilarious."

"Cheers"

For the most memorable shot of the group, almost the entire cast came together to recreate this iconic and classic show. With Ty Burrell as Sam Malone, Ferguson as Cliff Clavin, Bowen as Diane Chambers, Winter as Carla Tortelli, Rico Rodriguez as Norm Peterson, and Gould as Woody Boyd, the impressions were spot on.

"As a kid, 'Cheers' represented my comfort food," Burrell explains. "It was super-dependable. Now, looking back on it, it's amazing how much of a balance there was between incredible writing but also warmth and a kind of big heart, which is so hard to do. And I think our writers, some of whom wrote on 'Cheers' at one point or another, they do sort of the same thing."
