Charlie Hunnam is confident he can live up to fans expectations of what Christian Grey will be like on the big screen. It seems like the 33-year-old actor is actually excited to play the role and has promised fans that he will not be using a body double, Metro newspaper reports.

So that means every glimpse viewers get of the billionaire will be Hunnam himself and judging by several fan-made trailers, he's definitely ready to tackle the role.

During an interview with Metro, Hunnam said he is fully prepared to strap up and go the "full monty" in his love scenes with actress Dakota Johnson who has been cast as Anastasia Steele.

"I'll never use a body double. I'm not worried," he said.

Part of the reason Hunnam isn't worried about shooting the sex scenes is because he has plenty of experience from other roles. He told the Associated Press that his first job as an actor was on a British miniseries called "Queer as Folk" where he played a young gay guy. He says the scenes in that TV show were very intense.

"You know what, I had such a baptism of fire with regards to sexuality on camera at the beginning of my career," he told the AP. "I starred in the British Channel 4 miniseries Queer as Folk, where I played a young, gay character, and there were some incredible, explicit sex scenes on that show."

"Now I am 16 years older and more mature so I don't anticipate them being too much of a problem. It's like anything else, just an exciting challenge."

According to producers involved with the movie Johnson was also completely comfortable with the scenes. Hunnam has described his chemistry with the "Social Network" actress as "tangible."

"As soon as we got in the room and started reading with Dakota, I knew that I definitely wanted to do it, because there was a tangible chemistry between us," he told The Hollywood Reporter. "If felt kind of exciting and fun and weird and compelling, and so that was it."

It's great news to hear that both of the leading stars are comfortable and confident in acting out the scenes because screenwriter Kelly Marcel has already said that she wants to keep the film as visually descriptive and close to the book as possible.

According to reports, she wants to film to be rated NC-17, which would allow for it be extremely sexy and graphic. Universal Pictures, the studio behind "Fifty Shades of Grey," has some concerns about an NC-17 rating fearing that it might exclude certain people from seeing the movie.

Also, many large movie theaters won't play a movie with an NC-17 rating because of how graphic it is. Universal has not officially decided on a rating but the movie is expected to hit theaters Aug. 1, 2014.
