Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will visit the White House this fall, according to The Jerusalem Post

White House press secretary Josh Earnest confirmed that the Israeli leader will meet with U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House in November. Netanyahu last came to Washington, D.C., to address Congress, where he spoke about the Iran nuclear deal on March 3. Obama says he speaks with Netanyahu more than any other world leader, The Jerusalem Post reported.

The Iran deal allows certain sanctions to be lifted from the country in exchange for a halt in its nuclear activity. The deal has polarized Democrats and Republicans in Congress and publicly caused tension between Obama and Netanyahu, according to The Washington Post.

Earnest said that preparations are underway for the visit, but no official date has been set. "The fact that the leaders of these two countries can come together and have a conversation and have an in-person meeting reflects the commitment from the leaders of both countries to the strength of this relationship," Earnest said.

U.S. officials say the relationship between America and Israel is "unshakable," according to CNN.
