A viral video is making the rounds this week with (to-date) 2.8 million views, according to CBS Los Angeles. The subject? A silver Hyundai abandoned by a 22-year-old woman, who was caught on a dash cam exiting the Hyundai in the left-hand lane of a roadway in Rowland Heights, Calif.

The car keeps moving, as it is still in gear, making its way along the center of the roadway, before moving across it into oncoming traffic. First it slams into a Honda, causing a pile up as a Lincoln hits the Honda, says California Highway Patrol.

As the unoccupied Hyundai keeps its forward momentum, it makes its way onto a sidewalk, finally coming to a stop as it rolls over two trees.

California Highway Patrol identified the exited driver as Jasmine Lacey, of San Bernardino, who was arrested on suspicion of DUI. In a bizarre twist, Lacey was released for lack of evidence of any criminal wrongdoing.

"What the hell," Jalopnik writes. "Does this [YouTube] video posted [by UlikeUC] here not count as evidence? Is it not illegal to just exit and abandon a moving car on a public road?"

Watch for yourself, enough criminal activity, or insufficient evidence?

Lacey was taken to a hospital for unrelated reasons.
